A Letter for the President

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
Republic of the Philippines
Malacañang Palace, Manila

Dear President,

Hello sir, I'm Kristine M. Añonuevo, a student in 10th grade. I'm writing this letter to share my perception and willingness for amendment as I use and hope for a better place, a better Philippines.

One thing I've noticed is that publications in our country, especially those that make us question politics, are the trend, and it continuously follows. Why do your allies, in positions, are fond of smaller issues, that some are even against your will? Instead of your allies stating on LGBTQ+, religion, if they're pro or none to abortion, wouldn't it be necessary to talk about pollution, crime, and salvation, as well as collaboration with other countries? I don't know.
I just feel like it is more beneficial than what is happening right now, because a vast majority, most are the youth, are taking negation for our government. And, I feel that's unethical and immoral of us/them to feel bad for our leaders.

On the contrary, I like your projects! I also heard from other people that the media don't usually show them publicly, is that true? If it is, what do you feel about it? Anyway, I am hopeful for you.

To end my letter, I hope you can read this letter well. I will support you, for our country, and I recommend that you be positive because I believe that positivity resonates with work. Thank you, and God Bless.

Sincerely,
Kristine Anonuevo

Filipino Community, Beyond the World

The people of the Philippines are the foundation of the nation. Represent resilience and a strong sense of community amidst challenges, like poverty and political uncertainties. The historical background has led to an impact on poverty levels in the Philippines and has resulted in challenges in accessing good education and healthcare for a large portion of the population there as well. Rapid growth in population and urban areas has put pressure on resources and infrastructure making it tough for the government to cater to the needs of all citizens efficiently. It is essential to empower individuals through education facilities improved health services and enhanced social support systems, to tackle these long-standing issues effectively and build a resilient community that can lead the country towards progress.

The Philippines is working towards boosting its economy and improving infrastructure on a scale to address social disparities and foster a more prosperous and stable nation. The Build Build Build initiative is geared towards promoting growth through the enhancement of essential infrastructure facilities; whereas programs, like the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) offer financial aid to underprivileged families. The reason, behind these actions arises from the necessity to tackle the imbalances resulting from years of progress; urban areas have amassed wealth and opportunities while rural areas have remained underdeveloped. The 2nd December Movement argued that governments also needed the will to make good governance part of their mission mantra which they would do by reducing corruption in high places as a signpost. These are the problems that the Philippines hopes to solve for all of its citizens, no matter what their background or where they live can flourish. Yet, unless sustained political will and cross-sectoral society participation are gained there is no reaching these beloved objectives.

Relationally, on the world stage, our country is fighting for prominence even as it puts its place in a significant role within International Affairs with such strategic bottom lines of being near and inside Southeast Asia (SEA), notwithstanding following behind-great powers-status quo communities--uniquely balancing between emerging market territory, and maintenance. It is compelled to push its global cause because it seeks stronger economic ties, much-needed foreign investment, and the protection of overseas workers who contribute significantly to the national economy. What the Philippines is going through with China raises dilemmas that have long confronted other nations as well — among them how to interact and sell unto states, some highly powerful. The government now looks to build up its diplomatic ties, participate in international trade, and be a part of the global discussions regarding climate change and human rights. The country seeks to project a mature presence on the international stage and uphold its due stature alongside other nations so that it may be seen as an equal — or at least nearing equality.

The Legacy of a Great Teacher Will Live Forever

The hold of the torch in children's might,

Edged the foundation that keeps it right,

Instructions are held to fold abide,

Opens a scope that's great and wide.

Educators fold more than a test,

Those learners fright, affirm to stealth,

In the greatness of achievements,

are non-existent without who's the best.

Who are they?

Your uniformed, chalked, and loaded height,

The teachers, in a bit,

Brings the grasp's wealth within it.

-Kristine M. A., 2024 (original composition)

Our country's teachers are the ones who light the hearts of our future with their love and zeal and direct every child they meet to the right path. Throughout their teaching hours they are engaged in offering more than theoretical subjects; rather they show the way, they, after all, extend their encouragement, patience, and hope, by often staying late or going the extra mile to ensure that each student feels that he/she has been seen and supported. It's not simply a matter of making children remember facts, but it is about giving them the necessary tools to become independent, confident little persons, and teaching them to maneuver through the rushes of life. Teachers are the ones who create interest and raise the alarm for good, and it is they who educate their pupils that the pain of the world can be overridden. No matter where the student lives, the teachers are there to assist him/her to set higher goals and work harder. Their influence is manifested not so much in educational as in spiritual affairs since they not only train intellects but also build up better and more merciful societies for all.

Dear teachers, words cannot express how much I appreciate the amazing work you do every day. Your real commitment to inspiring the youth, promoting the thirst of knowledge, and letting growth happen by itself is irreplaceable. While some of your energy is spent talking down a disheartened student or in their elation, your wisdom not only does the classroom but the lives of people in a very different manner. You are the leaders of many young minds, under whose guidance, the creative giants and the innovators of the future emerge. Your insistence on every child’s capacity is the main reason for a better world.     Thank you very much for the hard work, your patience, and most importantly your belief in your students. We appreciate you for all the steps you take.

Do, Re me: The Anchor

While reading this, I want you to imagine that you're on a ship, I'll show you places, the ones the captain had been through... Ave folks! To start, l want you to get to know me like you are me. Whether you are a reader, a stranger, or just stumbled upon my blog--- Welcome aboard!
I've read somewhere: "Sa ibang mundo at sa ibang katawan, magiging kaibigan mo kaya ang sarili mo?" ("In an alternate universe and a different body, would you befriend your current self?") I always think of it when someone asks me, what am I... But really, would l like what l am right now?
Hold your hands together, because the journey is about to start.

Well, on the 5th of October 2009, I, Kristine M. Añonuevo, was given a life. I was born in Cavite, a province in the Philippines, after that, my parents knew that they couldn't give me the life l needed due to being financially unstable, so they decided to give me to my relatives. Now, I live in llocos province l am very grateful to my aunt for providing the food on the table, a comfortable bed, and especially my education which shaped and redirected my fate.

Furthermore, let's dive into my motifs. l believe that we also rely on what's forming our identity; our perceptions, feelings, and intentions. And I'm more than ready to spill the tea!

My being takes chaos in mind, stupid in love, and pure in soul. Growing up, l developed a passion for writing, reading, music, and arts. I would mostly describe myself as an outgoing, adventurous, and creative person, while others see me as ambitious, lowkey, and lazy. l also enjoy plenty of activities such as journalism, choir, sports, poetry, painting, and theatre, and loves interacting with new ideas. I can do these every day without getting tired. These l call memoirs took me years to prosper, all the things l love doing and wanting, and midst to knowing what l am and will be, l managed to find the path while securing goals and letting go, on the way. Everyday, the feeling of fulfillment never fails to get me. Breathe in, breathe out, celebrate, repeat, this simple affirmation boosts the thoughts of being myself. I assume that what keeps me going is that l have a purpose, to find peace, help and inspire. In addition, to understand, that problems are meant to teach our reactions to the responsibilities, or perhaps a privilege to leave a mark, on someone, or a whole.
Since l was young, my eyes have already started to open about what takes life. For this, l have more to share.

I want this to be my platform, as its conductor of witness and equality, in bringing such generalization that life is meaningful. When life leaves you behind catch it!" The Achor.
